Loggerhead turtle hatchling
Distribution:
Following winter storms you may be lucky enough to help save a baby loggerhead turtle that has been washed ashore after travelling south in the Leeuwin Current. After leaving its beach nest, the sea turtle hatchling tries to avoid predators, such as birds, foxes, large fish and sharks. After making it this far, this endangered species now needs your help, so please place it in a bucket of seawater and immediately contact the Parks and Wildlife, Wildcare Helpline on 9474 9055.
